Old Bottles Pictures: Can I Get Some Opinions?
Question by koriss leigh: Can I get some opinions?
I’m 16 years old and I have a situation that I think is being blown out of proportion with my parents and my friends parents. Now theres alot that factors into this that I’m going to try to fit in.
Okay so yesterday I went to a Christmas party. One that my parents said I could go to and they had no problem with it as long as there was parental supervision, which there was.
Now I moved across town a year ago but I still go to the school I attended before. The travel time is 25 min with traffic.
I asked my friend if she could me up from work and take me to the party and then my dad would get me from her house later on. She said okay., Then her grandmother, who she shares a car with said no and that she would meet me at a haftway point in town/. I asked my dad and he agreed.
As soon as we got in the car he starts yelling that my friend is a bad friend because she has a license and she wouldnt comeget me, and I tried to explain that it was her grandmothers fault not hers.
He said that after last night I shouldn’t associate myslef with her and her family. Mind you this is one of my very best friends that I’ve known since I moved to texas in 2007. I knew he was just angry and that I wouldn’t have to stop being associated with my best friend.
I took alot of pics at the Christmas party and my other friends mother who threw the party told me to put the pictures up on facebook.
So the next morning I got a laptop for x-mas :D
I uploaded the pics and less than 20 mins later I got a call from my best friends grandmother and she said “I had to delete four pictures” that she didn’t like because “she has family on facebook”. Mind you, she doesn’t have a facebook.
She then demanded I take down 4 pictures she didnt like. There was nothing wrong with the pictures, except for one there was where there was a windex bottle in the pic. I deleted them.
I told my mom, who then told my dad.
And of course the whole situation blew out of proportion.
My father was like “this finalizes everything, its time to drop her as a friend”. And my mother said ” I don’t like the pictures because the first picture is of two boys lying down.”
In the end I just deleted my facebook. (I was getting tired of it anyway)
I also get the feeling that her family doesn’t likes me anymore for some reason. ie. like I’m a bad example.
Opinions please?
for one I think this is so stupid.
