There are many books around that list prices for antiques, but almost everyone says “You can’t expect to get ‘book’ prices for things.” This begs the question: “Then why publish price guides?” What percentage can one expect to sell off of the “book” price?

Book prices list what the item is valued at. You may or may not get the book price listed because of what is popular at the time. Sometimes an item may be worth $ 100.00, but since it is not a popular collectible it may only sell at half that price, or if it is a popular collectible it could sell at maybe three times the listed value. Question by bricklayers_wife25: antique book collectors?
Can anyone give me any info on a book “The Malt Maker’s Guide,” published in 1811, and having hand written inside of it the original owners name, place of purchase, date of purchase, and purchase price. We have not been able to find any info on this book, it is a guide explaining how to make and the laws on malt making in that time period. PLEASE, if anyone can tell me anything about the book or it’s value you would be forever appreciated. Thank You!!!

Question by Arjun: Do you think “Don’t Know” could be the latest God with Prof. Hawkins’ latest religious book?
Maybe this is a kind of “Old wine in New bottle” kind of quest. I have not read his book, but from some reports posted with a few roughly statements, how could be Steven Hawkins be addressing the issue of “Don’t Know” also being the 100% Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient God as some Agnostics refer to as their God ?

I think most of the atheists books are centred around in proving the Christian Myths on God to be wrong.

But if Christians adopts “Don’t Know” also into their fold as the Great Father of Jesus Christ, how shall athiests be able to confront some kind of a joint Conceptual attack from Christians and Muslims together ?
